View Full Version : 13 S. cambelt teeth without tensioner

hey guys, i thought youd be able to help me on this one.
replacing the waterpump and cambelt soon.
i havent checked to see if it has an auto tensioner yet, but if it does i want to get rid of it and manually tension it from the pump.
does anyone know the number of teeth needed for an un-tentioned 13S engine ?

1.3's never had a tensioner AFAIK, they just tension on the water pump

as above all of them are tensioned of the waterpump

If you need to know, the belt should have 104 teeth on it. And yes the belt is only tensioned up by turning the waterpump.

Yep, everytime I change one, I count them to make sure I have been supplied the correct belt.
