Heater stuck on hot

my mk1 loon has a mk2 dash in meaning i need to do something to the heater controls behind the dash as it only blows hot air

any ideas cant remember what the previous owner said i needed

You can adjust the heat manually for now by moving the flaps. One is near the clutch pedal I think that controls heat and on the other side passenger footwell area there is another that controls direction.

yeah on passenger side the old wire i can pull makes it either hot or cold just need a permanant fix

the clip on the back of the dash will have snapped, IIRC it's a bugger to replace too.

That said you might be lucky and it's just fallen out/needs a blob of resin or something to hold it in place

Replace the cable, or cable tie it in place so it doesn't move
