Declaring an engine??

Right I want to declare my nova as a c20xe... Where can I find the engine number I've looked everywhere and can't seem to see it. What would I do about declaring it if I can't find the engine number?

It should be on the front of the engine were the engine meets the bell housing by the engine code i think

Yeah down the front after the (C)20XE code

On the actual block is it or the head?

On the block. In front of the flywheel down where it bolts to the gearbox.

Ok thanks sure I checked there but will double check, if I can't see it or its not there how do I go about declaring? Or can't I without the engine number?

you can use any number you want.. what if it was reconned at some point?? proper recon places use their own unique numbers for traceability..

you could quite legally use your existing engine no, but with a different prefix, (c20xe)

Maybe its not there cause the previous owner ground it off lol.
