finally managed to get rid of the stupid fuck virus from the computer (after about four hours lol).

ntl were no help whatsoever, was on the phone for so long the battery on the cordless phone went dead :o

it was so annoying. it would shut down the computer every couple of minutes. any1 else get it?

i had it me mate downloaded a patch from ntl's web site and put it on me comchuter so the probs sorted now

From the people I have spoken to and the guys on here, this virus seems very easy to fix, so what was it nicking when it was screwing with your computer or what has it left behind to create havoc another time???

keep up to date u wont have these problems :) this was identified ages ago as a possible problem and the fix before anything happened has long been out

I've never been able to use update, my last two computers would crash immediately after installing anything for it. My current computer is very reliable and I have not used update once!

u can open the run prompt and type "shutdown -a" to stop the shutdown thingy then end the task MSBLAST from taskmanager and u will have enough time to sort it

because of festers gay link to microsoft update just had murder with pc auto restarting immediately cos id downloaded loads of updates in end del service pack 4 and then avg found 2 worms which werent there b4 i got the updates. :?

so your saying it didnt pick them up as they were downloading?

well i patched it last week, also run avg and firewall, and after getting windows updates and a load of hassle it found them.

oh and now all my right click stuff isnt working. cant copy paste or open in new window ???
