Nick J, or Novasport (Rich?) I think it is? Or anyone else that might be able to help!

I need the standard cam timings for a BMW Mini, turbocharged version, at least 4-5 years old but it could possibly be a development engine, so might be equivalent to a 3+ year old car?

Preferably from 0 lift but the usual 0.1mm/10 thou should get me close enough

Tried searching round the net but just got lots of laser timing tool pages and nothing from cam suppliers!

It's not my area of expertise fella I'm afraid. As far as I'm aware rich no longer works for the brand either but I'm sure he would have a much better idea than myself etc.

Nick.

You mean no ones ever asked for their cam timings painted down the door?!

Cheers anyway Nick :)

I no longer work for BMW/Mini, not been there for a while. Work for Peugeot now and they share the same crap engine.
The standard timing on these is out, stretched & rattly lol
No idea what they should be, give a Mini dealer a call as they may help you out.

I can ask Dale on Mig, he's a mech for BMW.

If you could! I might try a BMW dealer, have a friend that deals with a lot of BMW stuff/has contacts too. It's for a piece of coursework and leaving it until tomorrow is getting a bit tight :p

I've not had a read through all this so it might be useless lol

Unfortunately I need the full timings, so inlet valve closing time specifically! handed in this morning anyway and someone had the values for efficiency I was after, so either there's another way to do it that I missed or he fcuked up lol
