Hi Peeps :D

Right I need some help… :?

You have all seen my nova :wink: , ie…sig/feature, well I have a 1.4sri engine, which I have been planning to put into my baby. The engine needs shells replacing which ive been told will cost about ?70. Besides the shells needing replacing the engine is sound. :)

Well the problem is.. :| :o

Should I go ahead and get the engine installed?

Leave as a 1.2i?

Or

Get rid of my nova and get something different?

Im really torn up about this, ive had my nova just over a year and a half now, and have had all the work done myself. I really love this car, but think I may be losing a bit of interest in her.

If I did sell, how much do you think I should put her up for?

Please comment, and help me out here

keep the car - put the 1400 engine in it - and a 5 speed box too if you have one :D coz that 4 speed just means you're revving the tits off her everytime yuo go down the dual carriageway just outside wrexham :lol:

if you're losing interest in it a little bit - come up with a new idea for it, do something a bit crazier with the interior - lose the back seats maybe...

if you want the real truth i would forget the sri engine and get a GTE engine. you dont have the ecu/loom for the engine and even if you id its a pain in the ass.
get a gte engine, will cost same price as it will to repair the sri, thatl come with ecu/loom. shame you didnt ask before could of got that gsi engine free off that lad for ya!!!
would just need to drop engine straight in then, swop exhaust (iv got 2 spare) and possibly fit an Mpi fuel pump but you dont really need to do that!

When you have the new engine in there your enthusiam for the car will come back as it will have a different aspect.
