corsa b running issues

Hi guys driving my 1.4 8v b and it wouldn't rev up and eventually cut out. Now it won't start and when it does as soon as you try to rev it it cuts out? Any ideas ie fuel starved or air problems? Cheers

Take the idle control valve out on inlet manifold and give a good clean
