i have done once - it wasnt a very smooth way to get it over and done with either as i handed it in the day i left and didnt work my notice...
with this place i dont think i'll need to as i am on a 5 year contract - if the external contract we have gets renewed so does mine, but i dont think it will be. So i will probably be brushed aside with the other people that work here - about 200 of us all together i think there will be to go.
Still - another 18 months or so and i wil lbe sick of the place anyway, well and truely sick of it - so it'll be just aboutthe right time - about 20 months left on contract.

I Love handing Notice in. Demand so many things, then leave the week after you get em.

I know what you mean. Great isn't it!
ive handed a notice in once where i said id work till xmas eve (to get the most money out of minimum wage lmao
they gave me the shittest jobs in the factory to do for the last 3 weeks, almost like they were trying to punish me for leaving, so i said that I'd leave that afternoon, funniluy enough i got put back on my naff calibration job, but they were watching me to make sure i didnt fuck anything up. thats Hitler management for you lol
where i am now i think i can give 1 hours notice :D result

Yeah, most places will work you like a japanese prisoner of war during your notice.
Still, you can just say 'fuck you, i'm walking out. sue me'. lol
Or lose your payment in lieu.
