Hi all just wanted to say hi. I'm 32 from central Scotland. I had a 1.3SR reg F286 DGD when I was 17-19, if anyone knows if its still going that would be great. I then for some strange reason went the ford route with XR's and RS, then jap with a scooby and an evo. Now at 32 and with 2 kids I've decided to treat myself and pick up a rather clean GTE on Saturday. I had been looking for something as a major project with the view of going down the XE route. But this one is so clean and solid it would be a shame to do that to it, I will probably run it for the duration of the current MOT(11months) then put it of the road for a resto with the aim of showing it. Hopefully I'll get some hints and tips from here. One thing what's the best route for power from the 1.6?

Welcome Fraser, I too am a even older newbie from central Scotland(36) and have found my old Nova, its still alive!
On the lookout for a nova of some sort as a wee project, where did you find your GTE, anymore you could recommend local?

A pm would be great if you know any? :)

Cheers Paul

Welcome to PNG, for posting pictures use photobucket and use the [IMG] option, then copy and paste into your 'project thread' once you start one.

Looking forward to seeing a thread on your build ;)

I will mate just kinda pissed off as if the guy had been honest I wouldn't have gone and not spent £40 on diesel getting there, £50 insurance deposit and wasted my mates day off taking me down

Im 30 and just got back into a nova, keep looking and one will come up. I was looking for years off and on and in the end had to go 150 miles to get one, it was worth it tho :)
