Wet/Damp rear foot matts?

Not checked in a while as its sitting with a cover over it but everytime i went out to the car the rear foot matts were wet/damp on the underside but the footwell is dry lol? They also smell weird, smells a bit like fuel.. Anyone any ideas?

check window seals door rubbers an the little bungs on the floor

if it smells like fuel rub a rag on it and light it, that way your soon know if its a fuel leak or if your noes is rubbish lol
