should get more tonight
what sort of toffee?? we've got a couple about and have tried most baits without any success. we have the newer type traps with the yellow plates that look like cartoon holey cheese, and i even filled them up with seriously strong cheese spread, and they removed it.

Peanut butter or Nutella is supposed to be a good bait.
we tried & basically, they eat it off the traps.. either that, or i'm not feeding the kids enough lol
Those humane traps that have a tipping point/door that slides down are the best imo.
Extremely sensitive - the traps, not me. :P

i used the toffee from a twix i chewed it for a while then moulded it to the trap. nuttella works but they just licked it off and the trap never went off
where's the fun in humane traps??
when i was in college, we had mice in the student house. i proposed traps & the resident veggie got a bickie tin, a pencil & some string, then lay in wait for 'the mouse', caught it, slid some card under the tin, and released said mouse up the garden, and wasn't impressed when i told him it probably got back in the house before he did.. it also ate thru his milk loaf the next day lol
i built a steel building at a woodyard where they caught rats humanely, cos the secretary was an animal lover. they didn't tell her that they had a large barrel of water where they placed the traps with the rats in lol

i suppose if i could catch live ones then i could feed them to the ferrets.
I put 2 traps down in my garage with cheese and I had a looky the other day traps not set off and cheese missing, poor show if they climb in my nova and chew the recaros I'm not gonna be chuffed one bit, rat poision is the future

lol that is funny lol
Lol thats amusing, why not get a cat, theyre excellent rodent terminators :thumb:
And in the case of mine, birds (including massive a properly massive pidgeon when she was about five months old and not very big herself) moss, frogs and alsorts of other outdoor related niceties then she likes to bring in as offerings of her hard graft lol

they dont stop at that there also partial to are rarer native song birds aswell, i would much rather wake up to a birds song then that screaching cats do when going at it

I'm really allergic to cats even tho I had them as a kid.
Oh and I'm up to 6 now
I find chocolate works best. heat the bait spike with a lighter so you can push the chocolate on without splitting it. and remember to set the trap lightly! the guys at work set some the other day, and the latch was through the loop by about 5mm lol
Why would he want a cat, spud? he's trying to get rid of unwanted creatures, not keep a supersize version in his home and feed it lol

cats also bring mice into the house, my brothers is forever bringing them in to play with and they get away loads
i was round his house the other day and was woken up by his bird screaming upstairs as the cat brought a mouse indoors and was playing with it still very alive on the bed, his pup is better at killing them then the cat lol

Good work, killer.
Lewis feck off, cats are not unwanted creatures you gheyer lol
And your borthers cat is probably bored if it has to bring them in to play with, mine sometimes brings them in dead to show what she has done, by she never has to bring toys in as she has enough, and gets enough attention!

I'd try doing the humane traps. They really are stupid enough to follow each other in for peanut butter :d.

Peanut butter is the best! I caught 3 in a night. Then one or two everyday for a week, then nothing. Then the rats came and i sorted them out aswell! If your having no luck with traditional traps try big sticky pad type traps.
