Astra stuck in gear

Hi all ok I've got an Astra van I left it in 4th gear with handbrake on an came back it won't come out now its jammed solid removed linkage and it seems the selector fork won't budge any idea's? As I say ran fine until I parked it up?

Reconnect the linkage and start it with the clutch down and see if abit of heat frees it off????

Lift the top off in situ, the selector casing on top.it will become apparent inside whats wrong, usually jammed fork.. Its common in my shop with older vaux box's. In fact,had one in yesterday AA recovered to us, stuck in reverse...was a 10 minute fix...
