full beam fault (stalk ?) also rear wiper question.

i have now found a new fault on the high beam when you pull the stalk towards you it dosnt work but to leave them on ( push it away ) they work is it a wireing fault or the stalk.

Now for the rear wiper the car has a rear wiper but couldnt activate it. The foglights dont work so i went to try and sort it out and when i pulled the cowling off the dash, I found the cables had been cut so I pulled the cables up and found a switch and I flicked it and the rear wiper went. Is there a button for the mk2 dash or a stalk it can work off.

As for the fog lights what coulor is the plug as I have a blue one that is spair behind the dash and wondered if it was that.

Also have a head light adjuster on the dash would that just be spair now.

Sounds to me like someone has done a piss poor job of fitting a mk2 dash into a mk1, you will need to pull it out and start again, the high beam, rear wiper and rear fog are always problematic to get working, ive done a dash swap before and ended up cable tieing the switches under the fusebox lol

lol ye it has been done really bad but i dont know what the mk1 dash looked like lol iv already had to pull the wiring off the hearter blowers and rewire them, the alternator wasnt even bolted to the adjuster arm, and im bound to find more.
