Pierberg 2e3 carb vaccume thing

On the back left of the carb there is black pyramid thing I assume its something to do with the vacuum but what dose it do. The previous owner has put what looks like a tent pole on as a strut brace and it has cracked the casing off.

this is the vacum diaphram for the seconed choke i do believe anyone please correct me if im wrong

yes thats right and now means your 2nd barrel is dead.
