the 1.4 sri has the bigger flywheel like the 1600 mpi, this means the starter motor is further out. thus it needs the f13 gearbox.

if you want, you can put the 4 speed innards into an f13 housing..

Reason we want 4 speed is for weight saving needs to be a wide ratio any one have a cluster and willing to post (will post on the wanted forum)

sorry, but you might save what, 3 or 4 kg tops?? surely the extra gear will be better for overall performance?? is it for a competition class??

Its for autograss car you have to run a standard complete gearbox but only use 1st and 2nd,by using a 4 speed hope to save a couple of kilo. Car is currently 480kg and we need to get it down to 455kg (the minimum weight) every littly bit helps as they all run a standard 1.2

ah. the std f10 1.0/1.2 4 speed box is a wr.
the astra mk3 small block f13 5 speed box is a wr, and the first 4 gears are similar to the f10 4 speed.

what diff ratio do people use? the 1.2 4 speed is a 3.74, and the astra one is usually a 3.94

We use a wr with a 3.74 final drive stilll ooking for one
