Well it was nice knowing you all then lol See you when I get out of jail
sneaky fookers!
at least they are at a nice height, far easier than having to reach up to loop a tyre over them lol

When you wonder how people crash on straight roads I can see an angry mum ramming it with a range rover lol

Humm, so has the law on speed cameras changed then, I thought they were all placed on bad accident spots an had to be brightly marked and sign posted etc
I'd hold off believing it until it's from a reliable source tbh!
Google for them, there's discussion about the trials elsewhere

They have guidelines for placement of those too...
The one that got me was breaking 4 out of 10 of those guidelines iirc lol

Don't drive in Spain? See link above :p
At least it will be ten years before Somerset has them.:d

Im not driving in spain but the blue dick turpins by us hide all over because they know we love to speed down the country roads
I don't think there is a way to 'spot' the mobile ones? Unless you can slow your car down literally faster than the speed of sound and/or light by the time there's anything to detect, i.e radar/laser or whatever specific tech they use, they've already clocked you.
There's 'garage door opener' devices that spray out signals to confuse them so you can't get an accurate speed reading but they have to genuinely be for "opening my garage door, officer" or they're illegal as far as I'm aware.

Will be ten years before you all build cars fast enough to need them, every Tom, Dick and Harry round here have XE's lol
Will be ten years before the invention of the wheel reaches Somerset
This is true. lol lol lol

LMFAO, this is all lol

Around here they are still in big white vans with big black windows on the back.
I meant in terms of a 'speed camera in 100m' warning type device as Chrisd mentioned, but yeah don't make the mistake of driving quickly past the police van because there's no one in it lol

You could always slow down:d
lol you should see some of the **** they been using on the motorways for years, cars eyes that have number plate recognition, loop sensors to monitor speed, weight sensors for hgv's, blah blah blah
It's never ending and 90% of motorists know nothing about it either.
Just drive 6 inches off the rear of the car in front, then they won't see your plate. lol

Or live in County Durham. Us and Swindon (iirc) are the only two counties to have abolished fixed scameras. :d
Lmao @ the radar jammer suggestion. Now I just picture that Scooby from Cannonball Run. lol

Hi fiiive :d
Swindon is a town, not a county :p
The Avon & Somerset ones haven't been abolished as such, just the dept that ran them got disbanded. So they're not managed/monitored any more lol However they do still have a fcukload of mobile vans and bored traffic cops sat around watching cars go by.
Who cares?
Backward sh!thole. lol
