Will 1990 1.4SR clocks work with a 1985 1.3SR loom?

As title really, before I start trying to identify each wire I thought I'd ask the question here, it's bound to have come up!

This all depends on whether the 1990 SR was a mk1 or not, the change over year was 1990 so it could be a mk1 or a mk2, if its a mk1 then yes, straight in now messing, if its a mk2 then no as the plugs are different, as the mk2 is bigger, it has two extra wires in it for the rev counter and oil pressure guage!

^ what she said, but if you get the plug to match you just need to splice it on the loom and you'll be Ok.

Its a Mk1, on a G plate.
