Head unit display probs

i htink i may have a problem with the facia display of my head unit. its kinda hard to explain but on the display its self (the parts which lights up its filled with tiny parts which light) well 2 of them were not working proberly.. ie the display which shud have showed a number 2 but was missing the flat bottom parrt of the number..

nehow i took it off and gave it a tap and it was fine.. in just thinking is this a common problem lots of people ave or shud i be htinking of sending it back for replacment whilst its still under warrenty??

Return it if it is still under warranty, don't take a chance.

Happened to my Dad's Sony Unit.

All of a sudden it would only show up dim - like it was turned off, but then it went all together. Cost him ?55 which included removal and refitting.
