Nothing, nobody knocks around here lol. I was going to pop a sign on the door just incase asking no one to knock because of the twins but figured there would be some twits that would then knock for the sake of it.

12 hour night shift , with car in a fenced car park in work. I was considering putting one of the little shlts in the boot and kicking them out 30 miles away in the mountains should they try to throw eggs at my car... Thankfully an uneventful journey to work :)

Rain kept them at bay here.

There was a guy on CCUK who made an amazing effort to make a zombie apocalypse setup in his street with the help of a few friends & neighbours - after all the work (including fake 'police warning' flyers lol) he had about 5 kids show up, all of whom were only interested in grabbing some sweets then buggering off lol

Signs on the door informing them not to bother knocking as we dont partake in the stupid american tradition, and just didnt bother answering the door when four of the illiterate nobs decided to bang on the door

i dont really have a problem with the origins of where it started (could have sworn it was a pagan ritual type think and didn't that start in Europe ), the reason i dont bother with it all is becuase i dont like kids.

I quite like halloween, as i think its one time in the year my neighbors actually interact (only get neighbors on my street knock). Don't see why people would be so anti-Halloween, its not like a religious festival or something? Saw some wicked outfits on friday and saturday night.

ARE YOU ACTUALLY JOKING??????

All Hallows eve, is basically christmas for the devil, so yes, there is a hell of a lot of religion involved!

Nope, i take it back, never knew it was about that.
But still, im guessing over 50% of the kids have no idea either.

consider that the vast majority of uk children go to church primary schools.... they know exactly what halloween is about..

as i posted last week, halloween was a big thing in the late 70's, then people started getting hold of fireworks & banger throwing was a huge thing... people got maimed. it died out for a good while.

halloweens origins date back to the really early christian church, when they were still trying to convert people away from the heathen traditions, they hijacked the midwinter & spring festivals and created xmas & easter. halloween was an old tradition as the nights the spirits walked.. one thing i don't understand is that the church of england tries to stop it, they have 'light' parties etc, its the same thing as how officially the church frowns on harry potter.... yet the american anglican churches love halloween & have massive parties... the world is odd

I didn't know either. lol . Although to be fair I never thought to look it up. As youngsters it was a generally accepted reason to throw eggs at teachers houses and Police cars. ( certainly not something I'd condone now obviously.)

You bunch of miserable old c**ts! It's a bit of fun, fun to dress up and fun to play about and be/get scared. It's only bad if it's older kids that ruin it.

I love Halloween.

I'd have knocked, then come back later and knocked again.

We always get stuck in, as said its just a bit of fun. It cost a couple of quid for some sweets and you get to actually interact with your neighbours, we had a mini stig one year which gave me much Lol'z

Saying that my truck got egg'd last night when I was catching some zzz's, didn't even get the option for treats. lol

I wish! Mind you if they were yokel it would probably be similar - random window decor, loud unintelligible speech and dubious smelling smoke most weekends. At least if they spoke yokel I'd be able to understand them lol
