hi i am doing my first nove conversion could someone give me a ruff idea what it would cost me for my 20xe head to be skimmed with new valve and new stem seals put in ??? also is it worth changing the piston ring whilst the engine is out ?? thanks

You want new valves and stem seals fitting to a head and a skim? what valves do you want?
I would do piston rings and big end/main bearings at the same time!

If a standard car then stick to standard valves, unless bent, have them recut and lapped in. To recut valves, new stem seals, decoke ports, light skim built ready to bolt on would do it for £120.

If you buying new valves you might as well buy wasted stem for the price of them!

Paul ivey/REC valves are app. £270 a set, autosprint ones @ £159 are poor quality compared.
