mk1 headlights

im going to get my self some new headlight for my mk1 as they have all clouded up.
reading peoples project forums people prefer the hella ones.
i was wondering why they are better and are they still availble new anywhere

I think they just pick the Hella ones because that's what GM used on the early MK1's. The last of the MK1's had 'Kinby' headlights and indicators iirc.

There will be some hella ones on eBay, just have a good look and ask the seller if in doubt

Have you tried cleaning them? Alot that have condensastion all over them and the dirt sticks to that. Making them look cloudy..
