I have a strange problem with my eight valve block, when the engine has just been started the engine is silent, but when the oil is fully warmed up the tappets tick slightly. I have changed the oil and filter which made no difference, also the oil pressure is good and goes up to max when at 1500rpm. But I have a small oil leak by the crank case breather where it?s bolted to the block, could this cause oil starvation to the head?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
