any body used all 3 mounts for doing a let in mk1?

av used them and find the front drivers mount out by 10mm even with the back gearbox mount being right back, i bought another front mount thinking maybe it was goosed but turns out its fine  i will put some pics up after my dinner n hopefully somebody has had the same problem..

Do the drivers side one first then the pass side, lastly the rear one.

In answer to your question tho, yes theyre sh1t. Hence why i make my own now

Is that mount on the engine correct? Looks kinda weird to me...

This was my old mount (which died)

Looks like a carquip mount.

Defo the correct mount. Tried a brand new Lmf mount aswell. Its a strange one, the edge of the back plate seems to sit too far toward that the actual chassis mount would stop the timing belt cover fitting on.

anybody have more pics so i can compare around the drivers side mount cheers, we've done numerous lets before and know that every one is different in terms of mounts fitting, just never done the 3 grp a together.

before av done it like that paul but it miles out lol tempted to just elongate the back mount to suit

I had to elongate the hole in the rear mount on mine. Pretty much put a slot in it instead of a hole.

The rear mount already looked elongated from the pic? Slot it and weld a washer on in its final position and it'll be nice and strong again

it is as standard iain but just needs a little bit more and yeah a welded washer sounds a good idea :)
