View Full Version : fitting vx220 clocks
Has anyone wired these into there nova?
I have a set with a small amount of wire on the back, really just need to know what each wire is for.
cheers
Think there are a few threads on here covering it, and there is one on mig.
In short you won't get the coolant temp reading working without a mk4 Astra ecu and the fuel level is a mare to get working.
Do they have stack printed on them or not. If not then they are turbo clocks, which makes little difference in the grand scheme of things.
no there not stack ones, i am using a mk4 ecu so thats good news. im away from home so trying to gather the information on my phone so searching forums isnt the easiest thing to do.

^ Boom!
I have these in mine. Was abit of a faff, but worth it. And mine are stack ones so my thread will cover those. Not the ones you have sorry. Some of the wires may well be the same though. No mk4 ECU here and lol i wired in a nova fuel gauge as it is indeed a PITA to work out the fuel.
The wires are the same between the two stack/non stack... Just the fuel gauge is a bar chart on the turbo ones, and iirc there is a shift light in those too.
How is the temp gauge working without the mk4 ecu?
Reckon it would be possible to get these working with a non standard management i.e Emerald K6?
It's all doable... But Imho the clocks aren't really 'all that' compared to most other stuff on the market lol
Elise clocks from a k series would be an even easier life and higher rev counter numbers too.
