ive got a set of the 256mm ate brake calipers but one of the caliper guide pins is missing :roll:


are these easy to get hold of?

i checked my local motor factors but they dont stock them, also is there a special way of installing them or do you just push them in and thats job jobbed?

do you mean the spring type thing that goes over the outside and holds it all together so to speak?

no but i need them aswell thinking about it, so any help there would be good to mate

im on about the sliding pins at the back of the caliper, they have a female hex head on them if that helps

Scrappy, just whip them off a Cavalier or something. There's probably some with the 256x24 setup but I bet others are the same

8mm allen key headed sliders. Get some from the scrappy and grease before fitting. Easy to walk out in with them in your pocket.

I have the spring clips that go on the front brand new here. £4 posted (not GM tho)

i could give a crap if there gm or not mate as long as they fit, i will let you know if i need them will have a look in the scrap yard first :thumb:

trip to looms tomorow then as i also need the bolts to hang them on the hubs aswell

I think the pins and whatnot are on ebay, I got some for my rear calipers on the cav

Looms. The only.scrapyard in the East Mids area. lol

Not that I particualry look.for them, but I imagine Cavs arent exactly common these days.
