Digidash ilumination

A while back, I wired up the digidash just to check everything worked. All browns to ground, al blacks to +, the dash did the self check. Then, I connected both green/gray wires to +, and the halogen bulbs lit up. But now, I did exactly the same thing, the dash self checks but the halogen bulbs don't come on, all I hear is something inside clicking like a relay. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, or did I bust something? :?

If you can see the self-check routine then it's not the halogen bulbs as they illuminate the displays. the grey/greens on a digi are like a dip so that at night the dash is not so bright and it brings on a lamp to tell you the lights are on. Try it with just the browns and blacks first. As to the clicking I have no idea sorry.
