Buying a 2 Doors Sallon Nova [Doubt]

Hey there,
i'm writing from Portugal.
I want to buy a Opel Corsa TR = (2 Door Saloon Nova in UK) (Rare version here)
Like this one:

Age:28 (Feb/1984)
Color: White
Engine: 1.2S

I want your opinions and advices about:
what should I care;
strengths;
weaknesses;

Planned Upgrades:
Color - Black (Matte or half brightness)
Brakes: 236x20 (Astra F) or 256x24 (Calibra) - Ventilated obvious
Better brake servo (Maybe Astra F)
Engine: C20NE (Already have the engine, the gear box and and all the stuff needed)
14" Three Pieces Wheels (7J + 6J) or (8J + 7J) (I dont know yet the prices for the lips)
UK Rear Lights
The interiors are equal because they are blameless
The engine has 50.000 KM or 31.000 Miles

Well i dont understand you in totality, but the rear lights are the same, they are only mirrored.
I want 2 revers lights :confused:

I think he was just pointing out, that over here we go mad to get hold of the european versions of the nova lights, as you well know they are mirrored, so that we can run either twin fog lights, or twin reverse lights on our cars.

And it obviously amused him to see that you want a uk version so you can do the same using your existing light.

Strengths and weaknesses are the same as the hatchback version - two places to look for rust though are around the bootlid (water can get trapped under the rear windscreen and boot seals) and along the bottom of the rear wings, below the bumper.

Saloons seem to rust at the back of the rear arch and that seem as well as the usual nova (hatchback) places such as door bottoms. The saloon's round arches clear wider/bigger alloy wheels better also.
Generally people in the UK leave their saloons fairly standard looking. I think that the early saloons lend themselves to a smooth and simple style, especially if they only have one wing mirror and no side repeaters.
There was a thread in the styling section asking people to 'show me your saloons', perhaps you should have a look at this for inspiration or research. Maybe someone on here with superior linking skills could post up a link to that thread? please?
