I got mine from Argos was about 25 quid I think. Does the job it's intended to do

I had a midrange one from Halfords years ago for my old hatchback. Scratched half the paint off and acted like a giant damp sponge, and when the wind kept getting under it too easily as it only had one rope hole on each side lol

This is the medium size car cover from Halfords, it's the expensive one at around £70

It has straps that go under the car to fasten it together
IMO its quite good quality and breathable aswell as waterproof,

I've found what jack says it true, the cheap covers that are waterproof trap dampness under them, so your car still gets soaked and damp, the cheaper blue Halfords covers are quite bad for that

Is that a personal recommendation for the £70-odd Halfords one Bazil? As I'm after one for the saloon as its posisbly getting booted out the garage once I get the Celica back and I don't fancy winter weather + 25 year old GM metal lol

I am also after one for my saloon, anyone used one that fits well?

Being a track car not too concerned with minor scratches but I dont want it trapping water underneath and rotting the car out.

I can vouch for the 70 halfords Cover. Buy a bigger size though i use a medium on my nova hatch

My car is kept inside so I can't vouch for the waterproof level of it

But I think it's a good cover, as said I have a medium size and it is fine on the hatch but might not fit a loon

Ive just bought a cover from http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/ proper weather resistant/waterproof one for mine, not cheap mind for £130, but imo you get what you pay for and after three weeks of mine being on the nova, the last week and a half have been almost constant rain, i pulled it back last night to check and its prefectly dry and still nice and clean underneath!

The instructions do say to remove it and air it out every so often, which wont be a problem as i want to pull it out and clean/polish it every so often aswell (cos im sad lol)

So far very impressed with it, its snug fitting and doesnt move around very much so that should limit the moving in the wind related scratches and paint damage that i was warned about by a few mates!

Here is mine...

Like i say you get what you pay for, so if you only want a cheap one from hellfrauds then youre probably going to see water soak issues and the likes mentioned above, hopefully i should be fine with mine, and im happy with it so far :d

Btw, the above cover is nova specific, they do also do saloon covers too, again, tailored to the shape of the individual car!

I bought a fleece lined one of eBay ages ago. Not exactly fleece lol but it certainly does the job. Fits well too.

The 60 halfords one is ok outside. Mine has been out for 5 months and it is always dry underneath

I had a Cover Your Car Monsoon cover on the Nova when I first bought it. It literally fell to pieces in 12months.

Now have a cheap Argos one (from eBay) paint not scratched, added my own fixings (bungee round each wheel) fit far better than every other cover i've had (including the "fitted" ones) can't fault it.
