Hi, I'm currently looking into exhausts systems for my nova.

It's currently a mk2 with a cat but I am mk1'ing it with gte bumpers.

I know the mk1 and mk2 back boxes are a slightly different shape as one comes out at a slight angle, but was wondering what a mk2 back box would look like poking out of a gte bumper? Would it sit in the exhaust recess ok or would it not?

Also would I get away with fitting a mk1 complete centre section to the mk2 down pipe? Are the exhaust joints the same? (I know I would have to refit the cat for mot)

Hope that makes sense and someone can help :)

Mk1 exhaust for a mk1 bumper mk2 will not look right

If yours has a single downpipe you could run a 1300 twin downpipe no problem, the centre sections aren't any different but the backbox from a mk2 will sit too low on a mk 1 bumper.

Best thing is just mk 1 it all the way.

simply put a mk1 backbox on in place of the mk2. they are a straight swap.

Cheers for the replys. Its was only because I saw a cheap mk2 system. Mk1 system it is then :)
