I really don't know that much about computers and as there seems to be a few people on here that know there stuff I need a bit of help please....

I have a Acer PC

As far as I can tell it has two hard drives

Acer : c
Acer : d

It says C drive is 99% full and D drive 1% full

I'm thinking that C drive stores stuff and D drive is for the running of it all

I'm guessing I need a external hard drive, seen some 250gb ones

If I get one of these is it just for storing files? Music, pics etc

Or could I put a whole program on there? Like media player, iTunes etc

Or can D drive be used instead? Move programs, files over

Or just bin it and get a new PC? lol

Any help and advice would be great

Moving program's = hard.... Moving files like porn/pics/films etc is easy.

You just aim the players at the new drive.

Edd, I have 3 external hard drives 1tb, one has music/iTunes on... one has my work on... The other is for all random downloads and :cough: pictures lol

I do however have two internal hard drives on my Mac, one is totally blank apart from my system software incase my main hard drive ever fails ;)

Why is everyone jumping in about buying more storage when D: is 99% empty? lol

What are the sizes of the two partitions? They'll be on the same physical disk, it may have been set up so D: is for all your personal data and suchlike and C: is for Windoze and a few preinstalled programs.
