I am selling my R6 carb setup from my X16XE Nova. This should also fit the X14XE as they used the same head.

This includes the carbs themselves (with velocity stacks),the inlet manifold, Megajolt ECU with basic loom and tuning cable, siliconepipe and hose clamps to fit carbs to the manifold and a spare (incomplete) setof R6 carbs (not pictured).

I have been running this setup for the last couple of yearsand managed 137Bhp at the wheels which is around 157Bhp at the flywheel (using15% transmission loss) with an ebay four branch manifold and some mild DIY headporting.

I bought the Megajolt as a kit from AutosportLabs and built, tested and mapped it myself, it includes the mounting brackets. I fittedthe unit with a hard cut rev limiter to cut the spark at the limit which makessome awesome backfires! I did have aproblem with it sometimes cutting in randomly so I disconnected it and used thestandard soft cut limiter (retards timing) and never got to the bottom of theproblem. It is just a case of swappingthe coil power over from the ECU to a normal 12v feed. I don’t know if the problem was in the wiringin the car, EDIS module or the ECU itself but it worked fine with the standardlimiter and never revved past it. It currentlyhas a heavily retarded map loaded as a “safe” map on the ECU but I have loadsof maps on my laptop that I can email through if wanted.

I fully stripped and cleaned the carbs when I got them andjetted them for my engine using a wideband system which I have always hadinstalled whilst running the carbs. Thismay need some slight adjustment for yourparticular engine but it should be pretty close (unless you buy it for aX14XE).

I had the flange for the manifold made from a gasket as atemplate and cut and shaped the pipe myself. A friend of mine welded it for me. It was MIG welded so it’s a little roughlooking but works well and can’t really be seen when fitted.

I have included the wiring from the ECU to the TPS on thecarbs which uses a weatherproof plug. Theloom is labelled and there is loads of info online for installation, tuningetc.

I plan to run ITBs and Megasquirt so I still need my EDISsetup but everything I don’t need to use has been included. Other than supplying fuel to the carbs and abit of wiring the EDIS coil, module and VR sensor/trigger wheel are all that’s neededto run this setup. I think I payed about£20 for the EDIS setup from a scrappers and same again for trigger wheel. This will require lowering the alternator asmost individual carb/body setups do.

I am looking for £300 posted to your door or £280 collected. I may be open to offers.

I think that’s about it but anything else you want to know just ask!
