gearbox's on a 16sv?

what gearbox comes with the 16sv engine? my plan was to swap the flywheel,clutch,starter over from the 1400 to 1600 and keep my f10 box but been told that dont work? now i thought the gearbox that came with the 1600 was f13 but turns out this has an f15 what's the difference

Was that 1600 not a big block version?

The F13's are on small block versions

no idea fella,not clued up on them tbh all i know is i screwed the 1400 and ended up with this 1600 lol

I wouldnt bother with it,all that hassle and extra cost on insurance and tax is definately not worth it

hassle is my middle name lol never take the easy route,so basicly the gearbox's are the same but for different block?

so can i swap the flywheel,starter ect over from the 1400 to the 1600 bolt on the f10 and drive off with the inner kid giggling away :roll:

16sv is bigblock indeed

16SV is smallblock, 16SH is the old big block 1.6.

So you should be able to fit an F13, or change the fly/clutch if that is what you can do with 16SE (GSi) engines

f13 5 speed
f13 5 speed CR

^ should fit, not sure about f10. (might be possible with a smaller flyheel from a 1.2 or so, but youll prob loose some transfer power thru the clutch)
i need to check whats bolted onto my sv

EDIT : something in my brain tells me the f10 fits, but the start motor wont, hmm. i cant remember for sure

what ignition system do you have ?
i cant remember why, but i had to use a 1.4 dizzy and coil

think it already had the 1.6 dizzy and coil mate was running the 1.6 head on the 1.4 and twin 40s untill i broke the crank pulley bolt and being full or wisdom tryed to drill it out lol safe to say i made an **** of it and ended up here lolol
