In light of being moaned at, read the sodding rules and help yourselves by making the ad as complete as possible, and written properly.
If it saves me being moaned at then its a good thing, and as a bonus you might sell stuff faster lol

Could you not make it a rule that you have to post a pic of the item forsale?
Saves loads of posts of 'any pics'
Well put it this way, I'm not about to open every for sale thread to make sure its upto muster...... I see it this way, if you d a crap ad, then the item want sell. Do a good ad and it will.

Its no different in my opinion,always been a mess due to mong posts about "nice car mate free bump" etc I have been saying this for years now.

like it say, its upto you lot to help yourselves.... I and im sure the rest of the admin folks cant be bothered to read every for sale post to ensure you are selling your stuff in the best ways possible.
I've just started deleting muppet ads, fed up chasing people to add prices and other basic info.

It will make it easier to locate the parts needed and stop old ads being bumped up

old adds help people price parts aswell, especially on a forum where what its worth adds are banned
The amount of effort you put into your ad is generally proportional to how likely you are to sell it.
Should get Kev to see if we can have a forced template for threads the for sale section.

On 205 gti forum all for sale ads are moderated before they appear to the rest of forum users.
Yes i know you all have enough to do but it would stop having to clear up mong ads and ebay links as they would be snipped and binned before they even appeared???

Why dont you do a rating score based on the quality of the ad. Put up a minimum requirement template, if an ad falls below that requirement they get a negative rating, if meets the requirement a neutral rating and if exceeds the requirement a postiive rating.
Then if somebody goes to minus they cant post, if they stay at neutral posts are reviewed by mods before being published and if they are positive then they can freely post without any review.
It could be self policing by members scoring the ads, much like buyer/seller feedback. It should be easy to set up, and minimal continuing maintenance by the mods going forward.
Rewards good sellers as they can post freely, encourages sellers with neutral rating to up the quality of their ads and stops all the crap ads!!!!

I too am putting my hand up for this. I have said this before, maybe a review is needed and maybe some mods with fewer "powers" to help with the general house keeping!
