Unfortunately yes, and in which case even though i know its wrong, i will pass them on the nearside, in theory its not undertaking as you can see the car is keeping speed almost to the wagon which is doing 56 as shown, youre just passing slower moving traffic, then moving back out in front of them to show them you have had to pass them!

I love moving out from lane one, lane two, lane three, passing someone in lane two, then moving correctly back across all three back to lane one, then watching them in the mirror, they suddenly realise and move over to their correct lane lol

when i went to billing in 2011, i was heading home back up the m1 & lanes 1& 2 were virtually clear, but thousands of people were in lane 3 nose to tail at about 65mph so we pootled along in lanes 1& 2 and gently passed most of them and still didn't do over 70.

i think it is a uniquely british thing.. i've never seen lane hogging in any other country i've visited

i know a bloke who got points for undertaking a car that was doing 45 in lane 3 & he'd followed it for a mile before deciding to pass.

That's the main problem people in the right doing under the limit and me on the limit in the left, I can't help passing a load of cars but why should I slow down when my lane is clear

Really annoys me this. Altho I do enjoy a moan at other road users. The main reason is people think it is the fast lane. Its the overtaking lane.

It annoys more me when people happily sit behind them. You end up about 10 cars back doing 50mph. What your supposed to do is a couple slow flashes of your lights as to not startle the driver. You then use had signals to direct the car over. You do this a couple times then pull back into the inside lane to let the next driver behind you try.

When people happily sit behind them they think its ok. if everybody on the road warned them they may see that it is only them in the wrong.

Lorry drivers arnt saints either. In many occasions theyve cut me up because they are doing 1mph faster than the lorry in front. Its bad for this in scotland as there are few three laned roads.
