i grew up around my uncle that always had the sapphire shaped cosworths, and i do prefer them there more subtle kinda inline with m3's and m5's not to much show but alot go
ive noticed the price of the fiesta rs turbos coming down loads lately bet there a fun drive

I know and have known a few peeps with Sapphires so there is always love for them, but there is something about a proper three door whale-tail Cosworth, you just dont ever see them these days and theyre such a striking car!
There are still a couple of FRST's kicking about round here, the seats are to die for and id love to have a squirt in one, i owned a mk3 fiesta XR2i a few years back, lowered -30mm on 15's i think it was, handled ace and went welll for a tired cvh lol

Yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to mention time and time and time and time again, its like a stuck record, and its not my place to name but i can think of three or four others that have commented to me in the last few days so yes there are others, and how do you know theyre not insulting or abusive, its very hard to judge on the internet what kind of feeling or emphasis should or shouldnt be on a comment, so ill change that as your posts have come across as insulting and abusive!
As much as the mahooosive spoiler made the 3 door iconic, for once Ill have to agree with Edd... they do look utterly stupid lol
Its common knowledge I love old Fords, but seriously, that is the one off putting reasin I would never buy a 3 door. I just couldnt live with those enormous rear qaurter windows & that gigantic spoiler lol not that I hate them or owt, far from it there a lovely car. But just not for me.
The S1 posted, tidy as that! I was at a garage in Guisborough (Middlesborough way) the other week, waiting on the Astra having its aircon gassed, old boy rocks up in a clean XR3i. Asked him if he wanted to sell it, told me he wasnt interested as hes had it from new. Had a nosey, clean car, 180k. Was nice.

FRST is still on the 'id love to own' list, but the skirts trap more dirt and water than any nova possibly could ill agree on that one, you can see in the pics of mine that the filler cap was just starting to bubble through :cry:

Rouse Sport Sierra Saph road cars. Limited run, subtle bodykit, more power yadda yadda then a normal Saph.

i had a mk3 fiesta use to make a tapping noise, ignored it as it was a ford, long story short i ended up stuck on the m1 for hours with a conrod hanging out the block lol

years.
still like the nova now as totally different to them

i think that shell at that money is a bargain plus a scabby saff donor,
the problem i have is ive had the s1 5 years now granted not on the road,
ive a fully forged zetec turbo to go in the s1 with some mega trick bits but im unsure of what i want right now, i need a break from cars for a while i think as ive been doing plenty of salvage between working hard at work too

they do get you down abit as i strip performance vauxhalls every day & deal with salvage alot & you need a break now and then

Spud, that XR2i looked cool. Haven't seen one in ages! Saw a nice, standard looking FRST the other week and nearly crashed the Mondeo through looking lol.
The Escort Cosworth, ****ing superb mate. Love them with Morettes. Dave, I love seeing pics of your S1 mate. It's great how you're not arsed about everything being 100% stock etc like so many of them are, and I know how much graft you put into it!
Definitley don't break it. Just take five for now, and see what's what when you've cleared your head imo.
Cheers the comments on mine. Like I said in another thread, I have always wanted an RSi. I like the fact that one of the cars I want isn't big bucks either. Plus as you can see, I have no minter. Just a good, useable car I can hopefully have some fun in.

It came with tons of history too, as most do I guess. I like the manuals. lol

Been farting on with it. Had the carpet out and cleaned it, fitted some sound deadening. Franks 8mm finest no less. lol
Binned the colour coded mirrors and built up some originals from the spares it came with. Knocked up an RSi battery tray, been collecting parts for underside etc too. Master cylinder, track control arms, bushes, brakes blah blah.
Need to clean the seats and refit them, then remove dash and reqire the lights through relays - and as you blue oval owners know, have a rake about around the scuttle area. Fingers crossed there!
