F20 diff cover gasket

Could I use gasket paper? Does anybody know the thickness?

I was going to buy a gasket set of eBay but the seller is away and I need it next week.

I don't see why not. You could probably get away with just sealant to be honest!

There's other sellers, Transmission-rebuild-kits and others, only about a fiver for the full set

I could only find one place around the £5 mark. The other kits include the bearings that I don't need

Edit: found them, £5.99 plus £2.99 p+p. think I will make my own

I dont have a spare hour of my life to waste going to my local dealer that barely know what a car is let alone trying to explain to them an F20 gearbox that didnt come out of the car it is now in. All for them to tell me £20 for a paper gasket.

If you want to do the leg work and get me the part number and price that would be great though :thumb:

F18s have a nice steel with bonded rubber gasket on if you fancy trying to source one of those. Scrappy ftw.
