It's going to look sweet when finished.

do u need side repeaters for MOT?

You can get away with it easier with the MK2's as the indicators can be seen from the side as they wrap around a bit, whereas the MK1's only point forward. If you take it to a main dealer for an MOT it will fail but if you take it to a smaller garage they wont pick up on it.

I personally would have de locked it to Ade.

Did they not remove the windoes before painting?

erm thanks for vote of confidence. I think the man who sprayed it knows wot hes doing, hes being doing spraying, repair work blah blah foir about 25yrs and theres no1 else round here that can beat the standard he works at.

All the Windows were removed, and theres no real point takin off the doors as its white inside neway,if id be having a full respray in and out then he would of stripped everything off. :D Im happy with it any way,and im a perfectionist when it comes to my car so it must be alright!

As soon as you start stripping doors and bits off labour usually gets quite hefty. Looks good enough from here.. most bodyshops will only say "its only a nova" so might short cut bits.

My old one got stripped completely!

He didnt take the view of "its ony a nova" but i no wot u mean, breeny alot of people do!

But i completely trust him, like i said hes done spraying in this village for 25yrs and im not going to argue against his methods they've wrked well! Plus the original colour was white, but the kits and mk2 wings etc were different hence respray so inside of doors, sills etc were all white neway!

In the pics the paint hadnt been wet and dryed and buffed up,tis a lot more shiny now

Your old one was mint breeny....not that ur new ones not lol

Nice.

Agree on the delocking.

Neil - no need for side-repeaters if you can see the indicators standing at the back of the car, but slightly to the side (can't remember what distance is).

Mk2's are alright. Had mine MoT'd at the vauxhall Main Dealers, and it had no probs with that. Or with having no buttons/handles for the door release on the car itself.

i prefer doing as above with the doors hanging. we usually take off the doors, spray the inside of them and around the door ope. hang the doors again and spray the rest with the wings off hanging up so the hinges can get another shot. its too easy mark a door or the hinge pillar when banging in the pins.

very nice.

i jus got myself a novadose front and skirts.

the skirts were a pain to fit caus the mould was crap but there on now.

how did you fit the front, i didn't even attempt it,looked to hard caus it came with no fixings!!

did yours come with fixings? if not, how did you fit it.

going on holiday next saturday and i would really love the bumper to be on so i can be a poser!!!! haha.

fergie.
