XE, Dispak/dizzy cam differences??

Are there any differences on the exhaust cam between the dispak and the dizzy model on the XE?


Basically what would i need to change on a dispak engine to run a dizzy setup, are the cams the same and does it have the drive slot for the dizzy, or would i need the cam from the distributor engine?

I've just fitted a dizzy to a dispac exhaust camshaft, had to cut down the centre of the dizzy as the centre hole is shallower but it did fit and works fine, pics in my WIP!

Coilpack XEs run better though?

Unless youre fitting carbs or something?

Im possibly going to carbs, only possibly and just wondered if i needed to swap the cams about, so you just shorten the metal peg on the dizzy and thats it Iain?

Mine was already a dizzy engine and just fitting a dispac exhaust cam to it required that one mod yeah.
