Looking at getting Tina a tablet for xmas, nothing mega $$$ and has to be on Android, no crApple stuff!

Ideally £200 max

I've just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 for £200 and it seems pretty decent! Games and apps work well and the camera is pretty decent as well. There's also no or hardly any lag with the 1ghz processor!

I have a galaxy tab. Don't use it much as I just end up using my phone. Works well when I do use it though.

Sorry mate couldnt help myself lol , in all fairness, a bloke from work has one of those galaxy tabs, and it seems pretty decent!

^ Well, we've gone from Korean stuff to what appears to be Japanese with Meris' offering. We're getting better... lol

IMO dont get one the smaller screen ones (7")
Nexus 7 is great apart from the small screen, it really needs be 10" And it has no memory slot.

If you can live with the screen though, Nexus 7 is the one to get.
Bear in mind it might drop in price before xmas if they release one with more storage.

Galaxy Tab2 10.1 here.

After doing ALOT of searching around for advise etc, we'd got it down to this and an iPad. The Apple rep at Curys put pay to me ever owning an iPad.
Got a 32GB Mirco SD Memory card in it too.

Slot at the top next to the volume buttons. Has a cover over it.

Edit, thats where my sim card goes. Mine must be an older one.

The Tab2's look really good, just a little over budget, although theres some 'Manufacturer refurbished' ones on t'ebay for £210 - tempting!

But Currys are doing a £50 cash back deal, so you'll get a £50 cheque back.
