So i have taken it off road and garaged it and gunna sort it out.

Plans are to totally strip inside and sort all wiring out and put it back together correctly.

Then i'm going to start on the engine. Was already running 260bhp and was quick but wanted abit more.

So have started to buy some engine bits and they are starting to get delivered now.

Hopefully will be around 300 to 320bhp one its done.

Intercooler hopefuuly be able to use this as on a charge cooler as dont wanna cut front panel.

How do you mean "put it back together correctly"?

Lol I would be interested in this comment too. I suppose it's one of those things, if you buy something already built, you can pick holes...Didn't think it was that bad though tbh

Unless he found that it was indeed a metro and a cortina welded together... I though I hid it quite well!

Well lets start with what i'm having to sort out now which is all the wiring as its a real mess.

Is it because will is an old memeber and noone can say anything bad about his stuff?

Feel free to come and view it as only sorted some of it.

Not getting into petty remarks on here, tbh I don't care what your beef is with the wiring. It lasted me three years and didn't set fire, so meh.

The car was a bargain for what you paid, so suck it in and get on with it.

like I said everyone picks holes in other people's work, it takes a special kind of person to do icon a forum though

Listen i aint getting into beef with you people as what was wrong with it and i've told them simple.

Dont give a **** if it lasted 10 years still a bodged job and thats end of it.

If it's a bodged job, why don't you take pictures and post them on here to show what you are going on about?

turbojolt

why are you so on the defensive

looks like a good project should be a interesting drive, 300+hp in a nova is going to be fooking stupid fast lol

Will F

Lol, ok mate whatever you think.
What we haven't addressed is the fact someone else owned it before you had it who apparently had some issues with the epas, so don't go making assumptions.

Annnnyyywayyy, this is the classic case of someone trying to justify how they have contributed to an already built car. Lol

All the best.

This is what i am going to do then once i get time i'l whip the door card off and show you the first prob i had with the wiring for the alarm.

An how many car have you took door cards off and dashboards out when buying them??

Looks good in person then had a prob withe alarm and then i started to see the wiring and thats why i know its bodged .

If people dont like what im saying then thats fine or come and see for yourselfs

Andy

I fail to see how wiring is bodged,it either works or it doesnt,as in,theres a connection or there isnt. There generally isnt any inbetween lol

people are not sticking up for him because he is an old member, simply because we've all seen the build thread and the attention to detail on the car is epic!

Andy
14-10-12, 06:20 PM
Im not sticking up for anyone but you cant sit there calling somebodies work with no pics to back it up with.
"come see it for yaselfs"
Oh ok then, like anyone is going to give up their own time to do that.
Put pics of bad stuff if there is any.Its that simple.

If anyone buys a car that has been built by someone they are always going to find things that they don't like or would of done differently

That's the way it is, build your own from scratch is the answer

For the price a bit a wiring that needs sorting is not the end of the world

I viewed the car, before it was sold to the owner you got it off. At the time I viewed it there was nothing 'bodged'. No I didnt remove the doorcards or dashboard.

This may just be a difference of style in how to wire up a car.

But coming onto a forum, with a car you know was built by a member, and stating it as being bodged with no info/pictures to back it up is asking for trouble IMO.

Will F

Cheers Edd and Paul, that's exactly what I was trying to say, but because it was my car, it would just look like I was defending something.
To be honest, whether the wiring is 'bodged' or not, I know how much money and hours into the rest of the car, so to pick on something so minor, it's totally Rediculous.

Like I said in an earlier thread, the buyer had problems with the power steering and he did something to the wiring, as the controller stopped working....
