Would this be part of the car loom? Next to the fuse box?

Yes. If you stand at front of car it's on right hand side up nr bulk head.

a c20xe is a 2.0l aint it?!
and you have it in a corsa 1.6 shell ?

if it has the loom from the xe then it should have the plug on and EML light so you can still do the test?

and the c16xe and c16se are on the list of cars that can be tested so I think you still can??
the plug is in the engine bay nr big fuse box on mine and not by fuse box in car below steering wheel

You may not have it, just worth a shot looking for it if you do. on the calibra with the C20let.c20xe c20ne c20xev its up nr the front top mount and it plugs into a holder that is screwed to body of car. (so its not flapping about) first time i looked I looked over it as I though it was any other plug that was where it should be! and not test plug
