rear bumpers

is the gsi rear bumper the exact same as a 1.3 novas bumper if not whats the differance?

gsi is not as deep as the sr. the sr has a lip on the bottom of it.

also i think gsi is usually smooth and colour coded (not 100% on that though)

SR's don't have a lip on the rear bumper, only the GTE's did.

The MK2 rear bumper is almost identical to a GSi one, the main difference is that all GSi one's were colour coded, but there were still some non-GSi MK2's that also had colour coded bumpers.
If you mean is it the same as the MK1 bumper then the answer is 'no' they are quite different both in look at fitment.

always thought mk1 1.3sr bumper is the same as the gte

jules is right on this one, the GTE bumper had an extra lip on it that the sr bumper didn't have.

yeah i meant is the gsi the same as a mk2 and it's all getting sprayed anyway so once coloured it will be the same then right?

The GSi ones are a completely different finish to the standard mk2 rears even if they have been colour coded :!:

i've got an unpainted gsi front bumper on my 1.4 and the finish is like standard

if you loof at a SRi bumper and a gsi one the difference is obvious.

lol i have brand new front and rear ones ready to go on my 16v.... and the only difference i can see is the cutout for the exhaust

GSi Bumpers are Factory painted Front & Rear (paint over them & they give the smoothed look)

MK2 Sri/SRi Bumpers are textured (Non-painted)

If you buy a Brand New GSI Bumper, it comes in the textured finish

During my rebuild i bought brand new front and rear GSI bumpers. You can have them supplyed in primer & smoothed or not. I chose not to. They are the exact same texture and colour as standard mk2 bumpers.

However the rear has the cutout for the exhaust!
