Can a one way valve be used to disable the standard dumpvalve in a c20let rather than take the end cap off to blank it ??

Thought it still had to be piped inn but put a one way valve in it to stop it working .

What are you trying to do then?
If your fitting a after market dump valve then you need to take the pipe that is T'd off the throttle body that goes to the standard dump valve and attach it to the new dump valve. Then block off the standard dump valve. Either by taking cap off or a short pipe with bolt in it.
You need a dump valve (recirculating valve) of one type or the other. If ya disable the standard one you just run hose to the new one!

Sorry if I seem to be teaching a grandmother to suck eggs.
Just HTH .

Yeh I know that its just that we did my mates astra with the standard dumpvalve and put a one way valve in the pipe and it fluttered through the filter

Ok, but either way, the air line to the dump valve is a vacuum hose. It opens the dump valve via suction from the TB and pressure from boost. (which is why certain valves work better than other, you want a double spring valve for a c20let. the recirculated air does not come out that pipe.
So you move vacuum hose to new dump valve. You know want the standard one to stay shut permanently. It recirculates air within the kkk16 unit. As said the nipple on the side of turbo is where you attach the vac. You won't have any vac as its now going to other dump valve. And no air needs to go into the turbo there so no need for a one way valve. As air only went one way originally.
But you don't want the valve to open under pressure either! So you block it tight shut with washers inside or put a shot bit of pipe with a bolt in the end.

If you want it disabled best way is put washers in it. Simple job done 2 turbos both in the car. Last one was actually taking washers out of my hybrid k16 and taking bailey valve off as it was leaking and letting boost get away.
