Yes but you will need a 1.3/1.4 exhaust system

Only the rear silencer is different on the saloon, centre section, manifold and downpipe are the same for saloon and hatch.

Got a four branch here, but you'll need a gte system for it to match up to, IMO your best bet would be to keep your eye out for a magnex full system and extend it at the back they only sell for £80 - £100 on here etc

The 1.4 carb manifold is a nice design so should flow well and looks standard. I bought one for the Swing with a new downpipe(which was a nightmare to find a new genuine one) to go with a Magnex full system.

the 1.3/1.4 manifold & downpipe fits to the std nova 1.2 system at the joint under the gearbox.

Not on 12ST engines, maybe on later 1.2 engines but he has not stated what he has fitted. I think he has an E reg loon so it would be a 12ST.
12ST engines have a one piece single down pipe and centre section so no joint behind the sump. The flexi joint is at the manifold in front of the block

I do have a 12st engine, will it matter what year the car that the manifold is off?

ok, my bad,
the system from the centre box back is the same on all 1.0,1.2,1.3 novas i forgot about the linky pipe from the downpipe...

To make things simple either get a 1.3 manifold and downpipe or a 14NV manifold and downpipe which were fitted to 1.4 carb engine Novas from 89-91 approx. The exhaust system can be a standard 1.3 or 1.4 system upto 91 or a peformance system for the same but tailpipe will need extending.

and for cheapo tuning... the old astra/nova challenge rally boys used to cut the 2-1 open & grind out the spare metal in the joint.. they reckoned it was worth 4-5hp over std
