should be getting a let on saturday for my nova its done 107k do u think i should rebuild it what should i replace how much will it cost .cheers ....tony.

just stick it in and run it... they are good for 150k+ if looked after...

if u have to take it out for a rebuild in 12months then it's not major hassle

myne had 120k on with fvsh i rebuilt it and found the rings were fecked! +this is my last nova so i wanted it to be perfect

not many of these engines have been spared so i dont think you should just fire it in and hope for the best as it will wreck your head to discover something is wrong with it when its in. its very easy have a look while its on the ground.

this engine is all ready striped down and the guy whoes comming with me has a let so hes gona luck over it for me ... so the question is just bang it in or replace some parts first if so what should i replace

lol :lol: i know the engine then... i was gonna fit it in a corsa till he couldn'y get insured on it.... the muppets removed the head so they could get it in the back of his corsa to get it home!!! FFS!

been to c engine today it looks sound boars are all mint pistons valves ect picking it up tomorow. yeah it is the same 1 ste he said u was gona fit it

didnt drive its ste but could key it over! the way i see it is whats the point i didnt need to drive it as i knew i was gunna rip it to peices and replace every thing it all went in the bin i e oil pump, pistons, water pump, belts etc etc and i knew the bloke i was buying from and he drove the car bk to his house and assured me it was fine just smoked a little it had a new hybrid turbo so it wasnt that in the end when i took the pistons out the rings were feked! mainly the oil scraper seals at the bottom? they were locked solid :lol:
