Fuel sender please for an A reg nova 1.2 L

I have had 3 B reg Novas and for some reason the sender sits at a slightly different angle to 86 onwards novas and in all three cars, the senders pack up just after a year, this includes new senders from vauxhall-costing a fortune.

I now on my everyday nova just fill it up every 250 miles so the tripometer is my fuel gauge!

mine doesnt have the trip just the milage counter, how many miles should i expect from an a reg 1.2l on a full tank
