what i beleive to be the earlyer single V bottom pulley and alternator

need to know if there is anything im over looking, can just bolt these straight on and and thats job jobbed bottom clearance wise?

ive just tried putting the older alternator on, but there is a problem the mounting points are all diffrent, anyway around this

not sure if its going to be any good as i Had to use two washers (one very thick one) to bring the bolt out from the recess so i could get a socket on it

You cant do it like that as you dont have an adjuster (iirc the xe had the PAS pump which was the adjuster) you need to swap the pulleys back and use the single v nova alt, it will bolt up on the bottom two holes, and you bin off the solid black bracket that orginally held the xe alt, then you need the old style adjuster arm which bolts to the back of the block, ill see if i can find you a pic!

You will need the bracket that looks like the one pictured on my alt here.....

When you remove the multi-v alt you will see the hole it bolts upto on the back of the block, just below the two rocker cover oil breather pipes!
