Fuel tank for a GSi - is this the right one to buy?

Hi,

I've just dropped the fuel tank on a GSi, looking at replacements on ebay and this place list a few. The linked one is listed on their main site as being injection, but it looks to have an inboard pump hole on the top. Hoping the image is wrong.

Advice much appreciated.

Yours in a mpi one and that is a spi one can be swapped over but you'll need a pump from a corsa or astra

ok, they also show one with a bolt on sender, as in the gsi......

Looks like the right one to me, ill give them a ring tomorrow, see if they can tell me any more about it. Will let you know how I get on.

Well I couldn't get much more on the phone, looking at the one you've linked - the description on the actual site (not ebay) is Petrol Injection Models/Bolt on Sender so will do I reckon :)

Placing the order and for the sake of completion I'll update this when it arrives with the outcome :)

The tank arrived at last and I'm pleased to say It's the right one! Thanks mowgli :) I'll spray it up with hammerite before fitting.

In case your viewing this when the listing's long gone, it's from Imperial crash repair parts, the part number is VX331AXDAN, the description VAUXHALL NOVA 3 DOOR HATCHBACK 1983-1989 MK1 Fuel Tank and the price at the time £72.64 inc delivery.
