sri engine on carb trouble

hi people i have taken the 1.0ltr engine out of the nova as intended to replace with a 1.4 carb engine built from an origianal sri block to save the trouble of wiring loom and ecu i changed the injection to carb. the trouble im having now is the fuel pump with it been mechanical on a carbed engine does anybody know of any ways around this? thankyou.

Hi mate,i'm looking to fit the same...what dizzy,coil etc did you use? Did you use the 1.4i electronic ignition? If so what did you do wiring wise? Martin

Put on a crabed head, it will have a mechaincal fuel pump but as said above, an electric pump will do, I use one on my 1400 as the cam has lobe for a mechanical pump.
