hi everyone, recently stripped down a c16 engine i bought as it sounded really rough and rattley and found out the pistons move all over in the bore, i have cleaned up the tops and theres no sizes on them just some random numbers, i have taken a photo to show them, anybody know what size or what they are? cheers :thumb:

anybody any clues?
they are most likely std, as they have no markings

looks like a good 2-3MM gap?

yep was knocking mad hence why I stripped it, so much for it being "bored out to 1680 with Mahle forged pistons" lol
It might have been worn all the way out to 1680 by the (standard) Mahle forged pistons? :p
1680 is max oversize i'd think....for std pistons...
why do people think an overbore will increase power? it usually doesn't on a std piston anyway.
with the gap, i'd reckon it has been bored out & has had oversize rings put in.
only measuring will tell though, buy a set of vernier calipers.
